Networks in Fiji
Your eSIM connects automatically to these local carriers — there's nothing to choose.
Real-world speed and coverage depend on your exact location, your device, and how busy the network is. Rural and remote areas may be slower or 4G-only.
Will your phone work?
Check eSIM support in two seconds — before you buy.
Dial *#06# on your phone. If an “EID” number appears, it's eSIM-ready. You can also look for “Add eSIM” or “Add mobile plan” in your Settings.
Haven't installed it yet? Unactivated eSIMs are fully refundable within 30 days. And if it won't install on a compatible, unlocked phone, contact us and we'll make it right.

Heading to Fiji? A Fiji eSIM gives you prepaid mobile data from the moment you arrive — no roaming bill shock and no hunting for a local SIM card. Install your alodata eSIM before you travel, switch it on when you land, and stay online for maps, rides, bookings, and keeping in touch.
In Fiji, your eSIM connects to established local networks (Digicel, Vodafone), so coverage is the same you'd get from a local carrier.

Coverage and networks in Fiji
Your Fiji eSIM roams on trusted networks and delivers high-speed data with no throttling on standard plans. You can track your remaining data in real time from your account, so there are no surprises mid-trip.
Viti Levu — including Nadi, Suva and the Coral Coast — and the main resort areas have solid 4G, with the network concentrated on the two big islands of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. Many of the smaller Yasawa and Mamanuca islands and the remote atolls have limited or no coverage, so the further you get from the main islands, the more offline you should expect to be.
Getting connected in Fiji
Tourist SIMs from Vodafone Fiji or Digicel are sold at Nadi airport with a passport and are the easiest way to connect on arrival; the resort shops sell them too, but at a markup. It's a straightforward country for a local SIM, but if your trip involves an onward flight, seaplane or boat to an outer island soon after landing, a travel eSIM that's already live means you're connected from Nadi without stopping at a counter first.
Fiji's internet is open and every common app, map and messaging service works normally without a VPN. Resort Wi-Fi is common on the main islands but can be slow or paid, and it simply won't follow you out onto the water and the smaller islands — so your own mobile data, where there's coverage, is what keeps you connected on the move between resorts and dive sites.
On the outer islands and the remote atolls, treat any signal as a bonus and arrange your plans, transfers and check-ins before you leave the main island. Download offline maps and confirm your boat or seaplane times in advance, since you may be unreachable for much of the transfer and the stay itself.
Nadi airport has SIM counters in arrivals, but they sit past immigration and baggage claim, and many travelers have a seaplane or boat transfer waiting to whisk them off to a resort island. An eSIM installed before you fly means you clear Nadi already online, ready to confirm your transfer and reach your resort without a counter stop after the flight. With your transfer confirmed and your maps ready, the island leg of the trip begins the moment you land.
Who these Fiji eSIM plans are for
They suit short trips and longer stays alike: tourists who want maps and messaging, digital nomads working remotely, and business travelers who need reliable data on arrival. Keep your home number active on your primary SIM while alodata handles data.
Download your maps, bookings and any details you'll need before you go island-hopping, because signal on the smaller Yasawa and Mamanuca islands is spotty at best and often absent between them. Vodafone Fiji has the broadest reach; on the main island of Viti Levu you'll have solid data, but treat the outer islands as largely offline and plan around it.
